The Tarsier is widely known for its eyes. Let's face it, they are huge! While they used to be found in Europe and North America, they can now only be found in the forests of southeast Asia. Their noticeable eyes don't come from being constantly surprised. Rather, they are nocturnal and need big eyes for seeing well in the dark. Tarsiers eat mostly insects, lizards, fish and even crabs. To keep their eyes safe from struggling prey, they close them moments before capture.
